Unlike many other low budget films, WRITERS BLOCK can leverage the brand identity of Advent Film Group as a trusted provider of solid family and faith-based films. Our first film, COME WHAT MAY is already well-known to an audience exceeding three million people (via screenings through the American Family Association and GodTube) and garnering DVD sales of nearly 80,000 units through our distribution relationship with Provident Films (the distributor of FACING THE GIANTS, FIREPROOF, and COURAGEOUS). Our second film, HERO, a father-son baseball movie will be released just prior to WRITERS’ BLOCK, and is expected to be even more successful than COME WHAT MAY. The third film on our slate, ALONE YET NOT ALONE, (AYNA) was Advent’s first work-for-hire production assignment. Escobar and Snyder served as co-producers, with Escobar also serving as co-writer and co-director. After post-production is completed by Mission City Productions, the film is expected to be released theatrically in 2012.
